Movie

Idiocracy (2006)

I honestly needed to watch a pure ridiculous comedy, so I turned my sights to Idiocracy. It was as crazy as I thought it would be, but also a warning message for many of the things that are happening in our world today. I’m hoping our future looks more like Star Trek than this film!

Howl’s Moving Castle Soundtrack: Joe Hisashi

With distancing restrictions in play here in Okinawa, what a perfect time to reminisce on my favorite Studio Ghibli movies! My most favorite being Howl’s Moving Castle—due in part to my love of the score.

How The Universe Works

I wanted to be an astronaut growing up, but I quickly realized that I wasn’t any good at math or science. Nevertheless, my love for space documentaries has never ceased! I’ve learned some intruding things from watching this show recently, and have definitely gotten new ideas for Star Trek fanfiction!

Book

Queen’s Peril: E.K. Johnston

Crossing over to the Star Wars side of the fandom for a little while, I’ve begun reading Queen’s Peril. Padmé Amidala is my favorite Star Wars character, and I loved the insight that I got from Johnston’s last Padmé novel—Queen’s Shadow.

Gaming

Star Trek Online: Cryptic Studios

While many have asked if I’m going to ever start playing on PC, I’ve stuck to PS4 thus far! Perhaps that will change soon. One of my absolute favorite Trek games to play, and it has definitely helped my hone my RPG skills!
